In the quest for perfection, one must revel in their obsessions and sacrifice everything for the Dark Prince.

The Princes of Perfection (Devoted Marauders of Slaanesh - Spears) are a Slaanesh Slaanesh and Wh3 main dae daemon prince 256 Daemons of Chaos Regiment of Renown melee infantry unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with Update 3.1.0.

Recruitment[ | ]

  • Icon effect ror Recruited with: Regiments of Renown Recruitment panel

Description[ | ]

When the tribesmen of the Serpent sweep down from their northern climes to raid fairer lands, they, more than any other Marauders, debauch themselves with rape and pillage. Before raids and battles they quaff vast quantities of alcohol, and the consumption of rare hallucinogenic plants and roots is commonplace. This renders them mostly oblivious to pain or fear and encourages them to luxuriate in even the greatest dangers. Where the servants of Khorne care nothing for the pain and misery they inflict, the Serpent’s ensure their weapons are sharp to satisfy the cruel inventiveness of their twisted minds to toy with their victims before dispatching them.

Attributes[ | ]

  • Infantry spear Spear Infantry
  • Shielded: Shields have a chance of blocking arrows, bolts, rifle shots and similar small arms fire - but only in a forward facing arc.
  • Anti-Large: Anti-Large: Anti-large units have an advantage against targets that are at least as large as a horse. This advantage can be a Modifier icon bonus vs largedamage bonus against large targets or an attack that focuses on a very small area. However, some units are simply better against large targets because their attacks are slow and easy to dodge by skilled melee combatants.
  • Charge Defence Against All: When standing and bracing against a charge this unit will negate the enemy's Icon stat charge bonuscharge bonus.

Strategy[ | ]

Despite having the helms and shields of Chosen of Slaanesh, their statistical upgrades from standard Devoted Marauders of Slaanesh - Spears is closer to that of Chaos Warriors, having an equivalent Melee Attack 36 and near-equivalent Melee Defence 41 to the Warrior's 44. Consequently, this RoR loses the Meat Shield trait and replaces it with Charge Defence Against All, making this unit extra tanky in addition to being more fighty. That said, beyond the aforementioned stat upgrades, only Leadership is boosted lightly to 70. Otherwise, their stat spread is similar to standard Spears and should be fielded accordingly - they'll hold the line a bit better and dish out a bit more damage, though they're still a tank unintended as a damage dealer.
