Theodore Bruckner is an Empire Legendary Hero unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with Thrones of Decay.
Recruitment[ | ]
- Recruited with: Theodore Bruckner: Trials by Combat quest
Description[ | ]
Known as the Hound of Judgement, Theodore Bruckner serves as the First Headsman of Nuln and champion of the Countess Emmanuelle. Towering head and shoulders over the majority of Nuln's citizenry, most regard him with abject terror, for he is the personification of bloody-handed justice and death incarnate to the Countess' political enemies. Both savage and skilled, he is famed most for his prodigious – some say inhuman – strength. Gossip surrounding Bruckner's physical prowess became the stuff of legend following his judicial duel with the noted swordsman Lord Hanz Kraster, during which he grappled his plate-armoured opponent, lifting him and aloft and snapping his back with his bare hands!
Attributes[ | ]
Melee Specialist
- ▲ Armoured: Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from
Armour-Piercing damage.
- ▲ Duellist: This unit is best used to attack individual targets such as
Lords or
Heroes. As it can only damage very few individuals at a time, it is not suitable against hordes of weak enemies.

Strategy[ | ]
A tanky hero with impressive stats. No armor-piercing without his mount. Armor piercing with extra charge bonuses on his mount He has quite powerful abilities such as a -4 Leadership debuff for enemies at all time, which I'm pretty sure you can stack it or several augments ability that can boost him even further. Also when he dies, he explodes. Quite useful? Usually, you'd want your Hero to not be defeated and wait 5 turns for them to respawn but if you're desperate then go for it.
