Unique items[]
These items are one-of-a-kind, and generally associated with legendary lords, unique lords or unique heroes. Often to gain a unique item, the character must complete a quest, in some cases involving a scripted set-piece battle.
Caravan Items[]
Sending out Caravans as Grand Cathay to specific locations for the first time can yield additional rewards in the form of unique magic items.
In Addition, some items can randomly be gained upon revisiting one of these important places in The Realm of Chaos campaign; likely because they are bound to cities that will only exist in Immortal Empires or are not yet implemented. There is a chance of 10% to gain one of these 4 items, followed by a random roll for which specific item is given.
Every item can only be gained once.

Sets[]
Item sets were introduced and are only available in Total War: Warhammer III. There are currently 18 sets made up of a variety of ancillary combinations, including banners, and provide additional effects once all items belonging to a set are equipped by the same character. As some sets include items bound to legendary characters, their use is restricted to the respective legendary characters, e.g. the Raiment of Office set is exclusive to Tzarina Katarin.
