Update 2.4.0 is an update for Total War: Warhammer III, which released on 16 February 2023. The previous update was Update 2.3.0.
This patch made Immortal Empires playable for all owners of Warhammer III, giving access to Daemons of Chaos,
Slaanesh,
Khorne,
Tzeentch,
Nurgle,
Grand Cathay,
Kislev and the
Warriors of Chaos faction
Shadow Legion, as well as
Bretonnia by way of free download.
Its release also marked the moment where Immortal Empires officially left beta status, accompanied by a new launch trailer.

Gameplay[]
- The Laurelorn Forest faction in Immortal Empires was renamed to just Laurelorn, like in The Realm of Chaos campaign.
- The Ruined Ogham Stones landmark tree is now available to Warriors of Chaos factions, making it the second landmark available to the race.
Bug fixes[]
- When playing Cult of Sotek, if the player hovered with their mouse over the upgrades in the Sacrifices to Sotek mechanic, a white block would be shown behind the Sacrificial Offerings cost instead of the correct background. This was fixed, not showing the white horizontal bars anymore and instead the correct box that should pop-up.
