Total War: WARHAMMER Wiki

As fast and resilient as armoured horses, Yhetees lead monstrous charges to weaken enemy battle lines and maul any opponent who dares stand up to them.

Yhetees is an Ogre Kingdoms monstrous infantry unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with the Omens of Destruction.

Recruitment[]

Description[]

The Yhetee packs inhabit the highest slopes of many mountain ranges, but are particularly common amongst the Mountains of Mourn and the place of their birth – the peaks of the Ancient Giant Holds. Though their iron-hard claws are the only weapon they require, a vestige of Ogre-like behaviour remains in the Yhetees’ ancestry to ensure that they still use clubs of a sort, an ice-weapon fashioned simply by snapping a bough from a tree and breathing pure cold onto it. It’s not uncommon for an Ogre tribe to include Yhetees amongst its ranks, though how or why the creatures are convinced to fight alongside Ogres is a subject of much speculation. A sense of kinship or a great debt owed from the distant past? Either way, when a Tyrant calls, they answer.

Attributes[]

  • Monstrous Infantry
  • Armour-Piercing Melee: The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
  • Frostbite: The intense cold cuts into the flesh and burns the foe's extremities, greatly reducing their speed.

Unit Abilities[]

Passive Abilities[]

Strategy[]

Similar to the Ogres' other mid-tier infantry, Yhetees are a slightly more specialist option to Maneaters or Ironguts. They passively reduce Melee Defence and Speed in an aura around them, making them quite similar to River Trolls, and ideally should be used the same way: 1-3 spaced out along your front line so the rest of your fighters are getting the benefit.

Try to avoid matching them against Chaos Dwarfs because their weakness to fire is very likely to come into play there.
