Yuan Bo, the Jade Dragon is a Grand Cathay Legendary Lord unit introduced in Total War: Warhammer III with Shadows of Change. In the campaign, he leads
The Jade Court.
Description[]
Amongst his siblings, the Jade Dragon is known as the most skilled manipulator of the Winds of Magic. For this reason, he leads the Astromancers of the Celestial Court, the only sanctioned Wizards of the realm. Some of his family may consider him a bureaucrat, given the diligent execution of his administrative duties, but his power runs far deeper and further than they could know. Behind the governors and officials is a vast network of spies and agents at the Jade Dragon’s command, allowing him to seek out, identify and quickly expunge threats to the safety of the provinces. If others knew of his methods, they may be judged as harsh or extreme. But the harmony of the realm outweighs the desires of the individual, and an iron will is required to eliminate a sickness before it can fester and spread.
Campaign Description[]
Realm of Chaos[]
The Jade Dragon, architect of the Dragon Emperor’s vision for Grand Cathay and Lord of the Jade Court, is a master of many disciplines; administration, record keeping, magic and espionage.
From the trade city of Shang-Wu, he plans the prosperity of the entire realm. But now, the time for overt action is at hand. The Dragon Emperor himself has tasked Yuan Bo with fulfilling a centuries-long scheme to ensure Cathay’s prominence. This must be attended to personally. No other faithful servant of the Dragon Emperor can be trusted with this undertaking.
And so, Yuan Bo must step out from the shadows and take to the field. With the accumulated knowledge of the Jade Court, Yuan Bo seeks to realign the Celestial Compass, and secure the safety of Grand Cathay from all dangers, either within or without.

Talent Tree[]
Strategy[]
Yuan Bo's skill tree is absurdly strong with powerful skills such as significantly increase movement range on the campaign along with the replenishment rate while reducing upkeep, reducing construction cost and time and increasing his own spell mastery, making the spells he cast on the battle deadlier than usual. A single overcasted Blossom Wind, if positioned perfectly, can destroy 50% of the enemy's frontline. Other than that, like other Cathay Legendary Lords, he's an all-rounder in combat, both in Dragon and Human form. With his ability, he can just drop The Emperor's Executioner on a Hero/Lord then just kite the said Hero/Lord without fighting then drop it again to finish the said character off.
His defeat trait is probably most-sought after by everyone since a -20% WoM cost for spells for the entire army is extremely valuable (especially for characters that already have WoM reduction for their spells moveset). Your Lord can be a melee-focused character and your spellcasters heroes can still benefit from it, which is a big plus.
Trivia[]
His skill tree has a reference to the idiom "Judge, jury and executioner", which each skill granting buffs towards his The Emperor's Executioner.
